The Eufy Robot Vacuum Review
Eufy is known for making easy-to-use robot vacuums. The eufy RoboVac 30C is Wi-Fi enabled and includes an wireless remote control making it simple to use the app. It also has boundary strips and a 100-minute battery life.
Its Boost IQ Technology can easily transfer from tile, wood and area rugs to low-pile and area rugs. Other features that are standard include obstacle detection and drop detection which allow it to avoid hitting furniture and walls.
Boost IQ Technology
The Eufy robotic vacuum line comes with many models. However, certain features are common to all of them. Boost IQ is one such feature, which allows your robot to move effortlessly from hard floors to medium to low pile carpeting and area rugs. It will automatically increase suction force when it comes across a certain surface type to ensure that you get the best clean possible.
An important feature is the manual switch between cleaning modes. The Quick Clean mode is perfect for a quick 30 minute sweep of the floor. Auto will work in an area with a lot of space without switching modes. Edge will focus on the walls and corners.
The eufy robot comes with all the basic features like obstacle and drop detectors and an automatic emptying base. The majority of robots come with an obstacle and drop detection system. This prevents them hitting furniture or walls.
Many of the eufy robotics come with a variety of LED indicators that communicate with you, similar to the digital watches. A solid green indicates that the robot is in standby or charging mode, while blue indicates that it's active and working and a solid orange indicates that the eufy's low on power and has to go back to its home base.
The eufy RoboVac 11S is a highly rated model that's an ideal fit for those looking for an efficient robot vacuum that has a long run time and the ability to reach the most remote corners of your home. It features slim lines that fit under furniture and tight spaces, as well as a tempered glass cover that's resistant to scratches. It also has an actual remote control, smart sensors to help navigate, and a variety of cleaning modes. It's not equipped with some of the more advanced features of other models, like digital maps or app-based controls.
Powerful Suction
This vacuum cleaner has an impressive suction of 2,000 psi, which is great to remove food crumbs, cereal crumbs and other dust or debris on medium to low pile carpeting and hard flooring. It also sucks up pet hair and other allergens from furniture that is upholstered. A rotating side-brush helps reach into corners and along baseboards while the rolling brush picks dirt and other debris that adheres to surfaces.
The 25C is connected to Wi-Fi and can be controlled from an app on your smartphone or via voice when connected to smart home speakers such as an Amazon Echo or Google Assistant. It also comes with a small charging station that holds the vacuum cleaner when not in use.
All eufy robot vacuums come with a number of standard features, like obstacle and drop detection to prevent it from running into things or falling down the stairs. Certain models, such as the eufy RoboVac 11S or its re-engineered predecessor, the eufy RoboVac 30C Max, offer advanced navigation systems which create and memorize an electronic map so that it knows where it should go (and avoid) every time it cleans.
You can tailor the cleaning cycle or set specific areas to the eufy robot vacuum to avoid using the app or Alexa-compatible voice controls. You can also cordon off sensitive rooms, such as areas that house toys for children or console tables. The eufy comes with two boundary strips that allow you to secure larger areas.
The eufy RoboVac 11S MAX is among the top-performing robotic vacuums we tested with top marks for both cleaning ability and navigation. Its design is simple, having a single button to get it going, an on/off switch below to ensure a constant shut-off. It also features a tempered-glass surface with ten sensors that help steer away from obstacles and it comes with a 0.15 gallons/0.6 milliliters of dust bin. Its re-engineered navigation device is fitted with iPath laser scanning technology, which creates and stores an image of your floor. It utilizes this here information to navigate quickly to every area of your home and make sure it covers every inch.
Convenient App Control
Similar to many robotic vacuums available on the market, eufy's models come with smart features that let you control your device remotely. You can set up cleaning times, establish virtual boundaries to prevent your robot from entering certain rooms (such as those that have electrical cords) and utilize the'return to base feature'. Some allow you to create the map of your home and mark areas where you'd like to get rid of.
Some of eufy's top-of-the-line robotic cleaners feature a specific navigation system known as'smart mapping', which scans your home's floors and creates a map it references every time it cleans. This enables the vacuum cleaner to seamlessly move between bare floors and area rugs, and back again, without skipping a step.
The RoboVac 25C, which is eufy, is a great illustration of this kind of model. It has three different suction power settings you can select using the companion app "Standard", "Turbo" which boosts the efficiency of the machine when cleaning floors that are not clean and "Max", which is designed to clean high-pile flooring.
The vacuum's battery life is also very good. It can run in its default "Standard" mode for up to 100 minutes. The vacuum has built-in indicator for batteries that blinks blue when it is charging, then changes to orange when the power is low, and then is fully charged and solid blue.
Another feature that is cool is the 'Spot Cleaning' mode that lets you make the vacuum focus on a small specific area by pressing a button at its base. This is ideal for getting crumbs or pet hair out of tight corners or from under furniture where a traditional vacuum would struggle to reach.
The elegant RoboVac does an excellent job of removing pet hair, but it might need to make several more passes to get rid of hairy patches that are difficult to remove from low- and high pile carpeting. It's not as effective at removing hair from cracks and crevices on carpeted floors as it is with naked floors. However it does an excellent job of picking up pet fur from both bare and covered surfaces.
100 Minutes of Cleaning
The Eufy robot vacuum offers an impressive 100 minutes of clean-up, with a self-return to its base for charging. It's capable of working across many floors and is equipped with a powerful suction that can take everything from cereal chunks to glitter specks with ease. It has a sturdy brush roll, and a side brush that can help it reach crevices and corners that other robots might not be able to reach.
The battery-powered robot vacuum operates on hard floors and carpets, and it can be activated via the remote control that comes with it or by using your smart home or smartphone assistant to send commands over Wi-Fi. You can also alter Boost IQ, which optimizes the suction power according to the type of floor that the vacuum is working on.
Like other eufy robots, the G30 Edge is designed to be able to work in your home and requires only minimal installation. It takes just a minute to snap on the rotating edge brushes and connect to your home Wi-Fi. Once connected to the internet, you can make use of the app to create a cleaning schedule and voice commands via a compatible smart home speaker.
This level of personalization is available on many elegant robotic vacuum cleaners. You can select which areas you'd like it clean and when. The app lets you define virtual boundaries that stop the robot from entering areas where there may be electrical cords, or other obstacles.
Some eufy products include an intuitive map, which utilizes a combination of sensors to calculate the locations of walls and furniture. It then draws a route to cover the area. Some models employ a more advanced navigational technology called iPath. In these cases robot vacuums use an algorithm to intelligently create the path, and then follow it until it covers the designated area. The robot returns to its dock, from where it charges and awaits its next cleaning.
Other models of the eufy robotic vacuum do not have this level of intelligence. These entry-level models, which are usually the most affordable in the line-up, don't use an electronic mapping system, but instead draw a random zig-zag path each time they begin a cleaning session. Although this can be frustrating at times, the eufy robot always manages to cover the same areas over and over again. It also doesn't miss corners or other hard-to-reach areas.
